Without even trying, just attempting to explain that a blanket we own isn't scary, I have turned Sara's boys into Maiden fans.
"No, Eddie is not a monster. He's silly, I have movies with him playing with his friends."
"Can we see?"
And now, for the past week, every morning and whenever they have TV time, they want Eddie songs on.
(Sorry, Sara)

Love it!

My niece Trinity used to walk around singing King Diamond's heads on the wall when she was like 5 or 6... very weird but o so cool!

Way to go! :rockin:

My mate's daughter attracted some worried attention at daycare, when she quoted Rammstein at the age of two...

Just remember to keep telling kids "I am not a role model"
My friends son has decided to be like me and now has a mop of hair very much like plant did in zeps heyday, he wears bandannas plays RPG and would love to LARP wears maiden shirts has a maiden denim but doesnt have teeth (yet) oh yeah and has a large collection of guns some of which he sleeps with.

A metal mentor is not always a good thing (particularly if that mentor is Fett)

Fett, that is something that it took me 15 years of parenting to figure out. If a child spends any significant time around you, they are going to do as you do, not as you say!
Especially if you of the same sex.
It is enjoyable sometimes, having the Maiden fan in me reborn by seeing them with new eyes.

Sara wants me to mention the funniest bit regarding Maiden from her oldest.
His favorite is the "Reptile" song:
I'm a reptile!
Yeah, I'm a reptile!
Well I'm a reptile!

Now Oakley is propping one foot on his stuffed animal in a passable imitation of Bruce on his monitors.

I somehow got Accept's "I'm A Rebel" in the head, and from there it was impossible to switch to Maiden.
